The T9 enters 2026 with Malaysian CKD plans through FT Assembly covering diesel, EV and PHEV versions. The diesel Grand ES remains the listed on-sale variant. An EV T9 uses dual-motor all-wheel drive and an 88 kWh LFP battery, with a stated 340 km range. The incoming T9 PHEV is rated at 523 PS and 1,000 Nm, with a stated 100 km electric range.
Verdict
The diesel T9 gives Malaysian buyers a straightforward automatic, all-wheel-drive pick-up proposition, but its entry price sits RM4,000 above the Ford Ranger and above the Nissan Navara, JMC Vigus Pro and Mitsubishi Triton.
