GST: Mazda prices reduced for existing model lineup – pricing announced for Mazda 3 CKD and 6 facelift

Mazda_CX-5_Malaysia_ 001

Bermaz Motor has announced its new, post-GST on-the-road prices (without insurance) for its Mazda vehicle line-up, with reductions across the board for all its existing models.

The fully-imported Mazda 2 SkyActiv is now a shade cheaper – by RM3.70 – following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax; the car was previously priced at RM85,470, and is now RM85,466.30. Not much of a drop for most of the CX-5 SUV range, save the 2.0 SkyActiv 2WD, which is now more than RM7k cheaper.

Elsewhere, the good cheer extends to the 3 Sedan 2.0 SkyActiv, the fully-imported version, that is – it’s now RM3k less than before. The pre-facelift 6 Sedan 2.5 SkyActiv also gets RM2,500 lopped off its selling price, and the Mazda 8 2.3 is now RM2k cheaper.

Mazda GST PT

The more interesting bits concern the upcoming CKD versions of the Mazda 3 2.0 SkyActiv sedan and hatchback – the figures you see here for the locally-assembled BM are based off the price lists revealed via Mazda’s Tribos Application Centre’s Facebook postings.

They don’t veer very far away from the indicative prices from last month, where pricing was anticipated to begin from RM105k for the entry-level sedan to RM119k for the hatch (available for the first time here) and RM125k for the high-spec sedan.

Also revealed are the prices for the Mazda 6 facelift, both in sedan and touring forms – the facelift will go on sale in CBU guise first, with CKD to follow later in the year.

yes..i think they are very serious about it..like shit
i really cannot understand how they declare this.

i found that less popular model regardless of brands have higher price deduction compare to popular ones.

does this mean they are deducting based on their liking

      this is exceptional for cx5

Dont have to look too far. Mazda6 FL is only 4K more but the more popular CX5 is 7K more. That in itself says something. Spec upgrade between Mazda6 and CX5 similar.

No need to study too much, simple observation here just in case you didnt notice – Mazda6 FL increaes 4K. CX5 2.5 FL increase 7K??? Cx5 outsells mazda6 and upgrades to mazda6 FL and Cx5 FL very similar. And that seems like Bermaz is being greedy!

    Base CX5 for 126k?

Boy these guys are really killing it. Plus with all the safety as standard, that is impressive. Why buy a Civic, Corolla or Focus when you have an SUV like this…

But they are pushing the Mazda 6 though…. 190k is too steep…

Mazda6 facelift (FL) price hike is quite high. The touring FL is almost RM200k, without insurance. Wonder what new things the FL will bring which the pre-FL did not, to justify that new price tag?

  • Actually the overall prices will still be more expensive, as these are OTR without insurance, and insurance rates have gone up, and add GST to insurance.

eh.. so the Mazda 3 Hatchback end up same price as the top spec Sedan? Initial price was some 5k cheaper.

the HB was supposed to be mid-spec too (which is a bummer), wonder if they bumped up the spec.

yeah i notice also. the hb spec is far from high spec sedan one, it suppose to be mid spec, how come can be same price?

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0
    • Probably a clerical error – can’t be they are exactly the same price when the specs are different!
Might as well go for the high-spec sedan if it’s true.

  • the CX5 decrease is unrealistic. Really disappointed with Bermaz. And CBU FL had a rm7k increase. while they plan to ckd the 2.5 prefacelift. I hope they launch it with the reasonable price.
