First pictured in a concept at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil, called the Fiat Concept Car 4, and later seen in spyshots, Fiat has just released a teaser of its upcoming pick-up truck. The company has also confirmed its name – Fiat Toro.
It’s safe to assume that the underpinnings of the Italian brand’s truck is basically a fifth-generation Mitsubishi Triton. Fiat and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding late last year which details the development of a pick-up truck, so this could be it.
A launch is reportedly expected in South America next year. Labelling it as a “Sport Utility Pick-up” (SUP), the company also says that the Toro combines “strength and characteristics of a truck” with “all the comfort features and drivability of an SUV.”
