The new Renault Koleos is destined to arrive in Malaysia this September, and we now have more details on the local-spec version of the five-seat SUV when it is launched here.
We managed to obtain this brochure of the new Koleos from Renault Malaysia’s Glenmarie showroom, which also happens to host a replica of the 2016 Renault RS 16 Formula One race car until August 7, 2016.
As previously reported, a four-cylinder petrol engine that provides 170 PS at 6,000 rpm and 226 Nm at 4,400 rpm will power the Malaysian-spec Koleos, paired to an X-Tronic CVT. The brochure does not provide details on the engine’s capacity, but based on the power figures, it is most likely the 2.5 litre unit as seen in the T32 X-Trail.
In terms of performance, the Koleos has a top speed of 200 km/h, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Following the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), the SUV consumes just 8.1 litres per 100 km.
On the exterior, the Koleos will come equipped with full LED headlamps (with C-shaped DRLs), 18-inch Argonaute alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, plus a rearview camera.
Inside, there is a powered seat (with lumbar adjustment) for the driver, one-touch easy-folding rear seats, ambient lighting, a 7-inch colour TFT instrument display, R-Link 2 infotainment system with a 8.7-inch colour touchscreen. As for safety, the airbag count stands at six, and there’s even a blind spot warning system.
Ahead of its September debut, Renault Malaysia is expected to announce the start of order taking for the new Koleos soon. Each purchase will be backed by a five-year manufacturer warranty. The important question now is, how much?
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Can say hi to this beauty at only RM268,888. Thank you Proton for making car prices so cheap in Malaysia.
Really, french badges japanese with korean dashboard will cost that much.
Better dun bring here, otherwise bashers says renault better koleos shop.
Nah. Car price is high because 85% of working people in the country don’t pay income tax! Govt need to get some money so tax the car! Everybody buy it. Even tauke kedai warung buys all brand other than P1 and P2.
Not fair to those 15% who paid taxes isn’t it?!
Not fair? Yup. Thats why we have GST.
We have to thank Proton for all our high car prices. If not for Proton, today, we can buy Altis for RM60k and not RM139k
Great car , hope the price is ok
Hope this well priced. going by the numbers for clio captur and fluence, maybe this will top 160.
I estimate 188k. Basically rebadged xtrail with 6 airbags should be popular.
the spec is not so impressed
Should make it 5+2 seater, X-trail selling well …
Where is the Forward Collision Warning, Advanced Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning? Do we not deserve better safety specs?
This is the first time I read a car brochure that doesn’t tell engine capacity (cc). 0-100 fig is more important than cc. Hey this is an SUV, not convertible laaa….
great car, but spareparts sucks big time…..
My neighbor had his renault abandoned next to a play field for many years due to expensive and lacking of parts…..
Wish to get one if priced at around 150k. Then can say ‘bye’ to cx5 & crv
Don’t waste resources introducing this in Msia. What is the end goal? To sell to 2 people ?
