BHPetrol launches improved Infiniti Diesel Euro 5, Euro 2M in Malaysia with next-generation additives

Boustead Petroleum Marketing, the official distributor of BHPetrol fuel in Malaysia today officially launched the improved Euro 2M and Euro 5 Infiniti Diesel, which features the latest German additive specially engineered for modern diesel engines.

In modern diesel engines, high temperature and pressure can result in the formation of hard-to-remove deposits. Should these deposits clog up the engine’s fuel injector nozzles, which can measure 0.090 mm in diameter, they can result in reduced engine performance and efficiency.

OEMs specify that the power loss should not exceed 2%, which the company claims can be avoided with the improved fuel. The new formulation is claimed to provide the best ‘Clean Up’, as well as ‘Keep Clean’ performance, but what does it all mean?

Well, ‘Keep Clean’ performance essentially refers to how well the additives help with the preventing new deposits from forming within the engine, while ‘Clean Up’ is the efficiency of the additive in removing existing deposits.

“Yes, this means we spend more on additives for our new fuel but we believe in giving our customers the highest quality of fuel in Malaysia and this means providing diesel that has the most effective ‘Clean Up’ performance,” said James Khoo, retail director of BHPetrol, who added that the fuel also provides corrosion protection and reduced foaming (important for fleet operators).

The company says that its Euro 5 Infiniti Diesel receives the maximum additive treat rate of 2.5 times the minimum rate. As a result, the fuel is claimed to fully restore any power loss, exceeding OEM’s specifications. The effectiveness of the new additives compared to the old generation of additives has been proven in industry-standard tests such as the XUD 9 CEC F23-01 (for older engines) and DW 10 CEC F 98-08 test (for modern engines with direct injection).

“Once again, BHPetrol is at the forefront of bringing high quality fuels to Malaysian motorists. With this new generation of additives in BHPetrol Infiniti Diesel Euro 2M and Euro 5, owners of diesel vehicles will enjoy all the performance that the engines have been designed to provide because the engines will be cleaner,” added Khoo.

The improved BHPetrol Infiniti Diesel Euro 2M is available at BHPetrol stations nationwide, while Infiniti Diesel Euro 5 can be found at 105 stations in Peninsular Malaysia. The price for the Euro 2M-grade fuel is RM1.70 per litre, while for the Euro 5 grade, it will cost 10 sen more per litre (as of September 2016)

Our Goverment policy on the usage of better grade petrol and diesel. Our Goverment should encourage the production of better grade petrol and diesel as it has many benefits such as reducing air pollution and promoting better air quality.

In short, what James Khoo is trying to say is their BHP Diesel not only can ‘Clean Up’ & improve performance but also continue to ‘Keep Clean’ your diesel engine.

Anyway, thanks for giving us an option of 2M & Euro-5 diesel with additional cleaning power.
