Up until November this year, Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 has been offered at 20 Petronas stations since it was first introduced in August. By the end of the year, that figure is expected to grow to 50 stations, with a large majority of them located around the Klang Valley and Johor region – the latter to support the demand of vehicles entering Singapore.
The company also explained its stance on the B10 biodiesel issue, stating that should the programme be implemented, Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 will retain the B7 blend instead as it was exempted from the mandate. It was revealed recently that the implementation of B10 biodiesel has been deferred to a later date, due to inadequate data that the fuel was compliant with carmakers’ specifications.
“For B10 biodiesel (when it is implemented), it will only be applied to Euro 2M grade diesel that we currently offer. Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 will remain as a B7 blend,” said Mohammad Hafiz Abd. Aziz, fuel engineer at Petronas’ product quality and operational excellent department.
“This is to prevent any hassle for vehicle owners that are concerned about the effects of using B10 biodiesel on their vehicles’ engines,” he added. Hafiz is also a member of the task force involved in talks with various stakeholders, including fuel providers, automakers, palm oil producers and the government.
“For fuel providers, we have no issues if the government wants to implement B10 biodiesel in the near future. However, as we’ve point out, if there are any problems or concerns from automakers themselves (involving engine specifications and vehicle warranty), they need to be resolved before we can sell B10 biodisel to the masses,” he explained.
Currently, Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 sold locally is brought in from other countries, especially Singapore, the same as other Euro 5 diesel fuels offered by other brands. Local production of Euro 5 diesel by Petronas is expected to take place in 2019, as soon as the company’s latest plant in Pengerang, Johor, starts operations.

Inferior fuel and also very carsinogic to mankind & devastating the environment!
SG only used euro 5 diesel 15 years ago price started SGD 0.70 tat time… the heavy truck there no black smoke. Here heavy vehicle black smoke every where, sometime kene jpj saman oso! Ha !
i can see there is a discrimination between west and east malaysia since these diesel in only available in the west but none goes to the east…
what a double standard and discrimination from the government and Petronas
Aiyo..they just at implementation stage..suddenly double standard and discrimination..even at Klang Valley also not all available..discrimation also aa?? Be patient la
West Malaysia here only get euro5 because SG penalised all transport lorries goes into their country spewing toxic and black smog, particulate over their standards…. After too many complaints at Bolehland Gov, out lorries have to complaint euro5. Has to! First is BHP that deploy euro5 diesel to Johor and then others brand continues… I guess Sabah & Sarawak need to wait until Kalimantan starts enforce Euro5, then you will get it. At this moment we can only thanks SG for making lorries(going into SG) here cleaner….
Maybe Brunei can enforce Euro 5 or even better Euro 6 petrol/diesel first.
hello, where is East Malaysia??
