Subaru announces 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon exhibits

Joining the rest of its compatriots at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon will be Subaru, with the automaker set to showcase a bevy of track vehicles along with a few concept cars.

The latter includes the BRZ STI Sport Concept (pictured here), where the model gains a new set of 18-inch wheels and a bodykit. The latter as far as we can see includes a front splitter, side intakes that replace the fog lamps and STI badging. The concept certainly looks like a more subtle version of the BRZ STI Performance Concept from the 2015 New York International Auto Show.

Next up, there’s the WRX S4 STI Sport Concept that is claimed to “deliver STI-tuned driving performance as well as exclusive exterior and interior parts with high quality feel.” Away from the concepts, Subaru will also reveal STI parts for both its production models – the Levorg and latest Impreza.

As for motorsport vehicles, the 2016 WRX STI NBR Challenge from the Nurburgring 24 Hours and BRZ GT300 from Super GT will be on display. Also present will be a racing WRX STI for the Japan Rally Championship and the 2017’s updated design for Japan’s Toyota 86 and BRZ one-make racing series.
