Benelli appoints MForce Bike Holdings as Malaysian distributor – new 150 cc supercub in the works

With effect from February 1, 2017, MForce Bike Holdings is appointed official distributor for Benelli Motorcycles in Malaysia. The previous Malaysian Benelli distributor was Benelli Keeway, and the new agreement includes assembly, distribution, after-sales service and start parts sales.

Current owners of Benelli motorcycles are assured of of both service and spares for their machines, said Asri Ahmad, national sales manager of MForce. The Penang-based company will also be launching Benelli’s 2017 model range, including the Leoncino and TRK 502, as well as the 302R sports bike.

MForce also has a range of marketing activities planned to expand Benelli’s market share in Malaysia. Among these are the launch of a 150 cc moped, which will be Benelli’s first.

Benelli riders’ and owners’ clubs in Malaysia are urged to register themselves by calling MForce at 04-554 1777, or find further details at www.benelli.my. MForce is currently the sole Malaysian distributor for Taiwanese scooter brand SYM.

Hopefully it is sold cheap here in Malaysia. I hope the distributor thinks of the rakyat instead of his pocket.

I think the Benelli sold here are reasonably priced as long you don’t mind the lack of brand image.

Mforce is currently the assembler for SYM, KTN (yes with N, not a typo) and also LS2 helmets for Malaysia. It is also the parent company of the mega fortune bike shops familiar in the norhern states. The question now is what woukd happen to the current benelli keway factory in selangor? Will future benelli bikes assembled in penang at mforce’s own factory? as for 150cc mopeds, mforce is also going to launch sym-based 150cc moped. two 150cc moped under 1 distributor?

Sym has taken over Benelli as main share holder. Keeway will be no longer in picture. Good bike especially TnT600 & Trekk model… But final assembly & exterior/minor things need to be improve.
