Top Gear Series 24 set to air on March 5, 2017; Toyota 86 to become the new Reasonably-Priced Car?

It’s official, Series 24 of Top Gear will return to the telly on March 5, 2017. That’s right, in just a little over two weeks from the time of posting, Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid, Chris Harris and The Stig will return to present some of the world’s most exotic cars, with plenty of other adventures in tow.

Based on the show’s first trailer, things certainly look very promising as we got to see glimpses of a very expensive Ferrari FXX K going sideways in the hands of Harris, LeBlanc in an Aston Martin DB11 and the entire team taking part in another “challenge.”

The show will also reportedly undergo a bit of change to its format now that Chris Evans has departed from it. The first involves scrapping the ‘Star In A Rallycross Car’ segment, where celebrities get behind the wheel of a rallycross version of a Mini Cooper.

Instead, the ‘Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car’ will return and this time, a Toyota 86 is said to be the car of choice, which is far and away a sportier option when compared to previous reasonably-priced cars – Suzuki Liana, Chevrolet Lacetti, Kia Cee’d, and a Vauxhall Astra. The job of coaching the celebs will now fall on both The Stig and Chris Harris.

Excited? So are we, but you’ll have to play the waiting game for just a little longer. In the meantime, you can always check out Rory Reid’s Road Trips where beautiful cars are driven on equally if not more beautiful roads.

We should also do our own Top Gear. I am sure it will do well. Why worship Mat Salleh Top Gear? Do our own better. Call Paul Tan and team to host it.

I am sure all of us here will support it. Top Gear talk kok all the time. Hardly review cars. All the time climbing moutains, using tanks, flying on aeroplane, car jumping from plane with parachute and tok kok.

At least Paul Tan’s Driven got so much of car reviews, honest opinions, FC and mpg consumption etc etc.

To be honest, Top Gear needs to learn from Driven and Paul Tan how to write proper car reviews.
