The new Aston Martin Vantage is set to make its debut on November 21, so here’s another teaser to whet your appetite. This time, it is in the form of a slow motion video of the coupe, while it slides its way gracefully around a corner.
The accompanying caption on the post reads, “two exceptional drivers, one empty racetrack…,” and likely points towards Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team drivers – Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen – both being pretty familiar with piloting Aston Martins with attached caravans. Aston Martin will also be Red Bull Racing’s title partner from the 2018 season, with the team set to be officially called Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.
Reports suggest the Vantage will use the same aluminium architecture as the DB11, with a revision to feature a shorter wheelbase so as not to usurp its larger sibling. Under the bonnet, expect to find a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 from AMG, which generates 510 PS and 675 Nm in the DB11.
As you can see in the video, the new Vantage appears to be heavily inspired by James Bond’s DB10 from Spectre, with plenty of familiar cues. Aston Martin has already shown quite a bit of a pre-production prototype, and patent images of the car have been revealed in the past.

Vantage is a terrible car to be drifting, being too much frontal heavy. Sustaining a drift will require more than necessary skill and attention, that a more neutral biased car. And the front brakes will be more stressed due to big block engine.
