TC Euro Cars has announced the addition of the Renault Megane RS 280 Cup to the Renault Subscription programme. Consumers can now enjoy the hot hatch without having to fork out a large sum for a downpayment or service high loan interests and be tied down by a long-term hire purchase. There’s also no depreciation value coming into play.
The Megane RS 280 Cup, available in both six-speed manual and six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic form, is powered by a 1.8 litre turbo four petrol engine, which sends 280 PS and 390 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a Torsen limited-slip differential. Performance figures include a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 255 km/h for the manual transmission model and 250 km/h for the EDC.
Handling prowess comes courtesy of the Cup chassis which consists of four rally-style hydraulic compression bump stops, while the front suspension gets an independent steering axis for better precision, and the 4Control four-wheel steering system adds even more agility. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers on aluminium/cast-iron discs measuring 355 mm in front.
Both RS 280 Cup variants are available under the subscription programme, for a period of one to three years. Customers can pick from going with a Fixed Plan or a Switch Plan.
The fixed plan is a more structured plan, available for short periods of one, two or three years, which offers a monthly usage rate that covers road tax, insurance and regular servicing costs starting from only RM3,999 monthly. There is an annual mileage cap of 20,000 km a year with the option for an additional 10,000 km at RM400 per month.
Customers who opt for the Switch Plan will enjoy access to the full Renault family line-up with no change to the previously announced rates. The Switch Plan offers the Renault Captur with the option of utilising both the Renault Koleos and Megane RS 280 Cup within the subscription period.
On top of that, the Switch Plan comes with no mileage caps and no cancellation penalties, and fees are inclusive of insurance, road tax and regular servicing costs. Wear and tear for the Captur is also included under the Switch Plan.
Limited units of the Megane RS 280 Cup are available via Subscription, so be quick if you want one. You’ll be able to sign on for a unit at the paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) 2019 – co-sponsored by Michelin and TyrePlus – this weekend. The Megane RS 280 Cup will be at the event, which takes place on November 2-3, 2019 from 9.00 am until 7.00 pm at the Setia Alam Convention Centre.
