There are rumours going around that the Hafei Lobo will be coming to Malaysia soon.
Check out the signal lights just below the windscreen. Reminds me of the Fiat Multipla styling.
Lobo means “treasure on the road” in Chinese and it’s a 4-door, 4-seater mini car with a 1075cc four-cylinder engine. The car is supposed to have been designed by Italian design hour Pininfarina and has “Japanese quality”.
Hmm. What exactly is Japanese quality?
Pininfarina was also the design house that styled the Chevrolet Optra.
The car is light at 850kg, and it’s 1.1 litre engine makes 46kW at 5700rpm and 85Nm of torque at 3000rpm. Top speed is 130km/h.
Sources say that Naza will be the one bringing this in to reduce dependency on Kia in it’s plans to diversify the group. A new plant based in Penang is in the works for assembly of the Naza-branded Hafei Lobo.
