Is Maxis the latest sponsor of Lotus Racing?

We’ve live at the official launch of the Proton Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing at Pavilion today. The car has not been unveiled yet so details on that will come later in the afternoon. The car will be officially launched by our ex-PM Tun Dr. Mahathir.

But while walking around the exhibit we spotted something interesting – I’m assuming this is the front nose of the Lotus Racing F1 car but there’s a new logo there – none other than Maxis! Is Maxis the latest sponsor to come aboard Lotus Racing?

There’s also some merchandise booths here so if you’re interested you can come over to Pavilion to grab some fan merchandise. Look after the jump for more pix live from the event.

A british racing green satria neo? 145HP sounds just ok but for 115k it is cutthroat!!!!!

  • proton should ditch saga and focus on perdana (good car) and satria (good car). face-lifts and modifications are gimmicks. after all, Apple has taught us it takes only 1 product to change an entire industry (iphone) – quality, design and passion.

Ditch Saga? You nuts? That's Proton's best seller! And Perdana's old news. Satria will only attract boy racers and not the family man. If your suggestion was taken by the management, surely they'll have to close shop.

Or is that really the reason? Fat chance!

Who are the idiot will buy a Neo rather than CIVIC ??????

  • For a 145 Horsepowered car cum local assemble to be priced at RM 115,000, might as well go and buy Honda Civic 1.8. Horsepower almost the same but is made in Japan.

Well R3's in the past have always been a disappointment, but this one is beyond fancy body kits, it has a tuned engine… but the price tag might as well go for Japanese Cars.

The original Satria GTi was expansive to begin with. But the R3 version suppose to be an even more expansive exercise right? Something like the R32 or R20 to VW Golf GTi.

    No Satria Neo GTi?

I would consider it, if it had a fat turbo and some in car entertainmet………..DVD,GPS etc……….But Rm115 is way too much……….My Satria has all of that and at half the price……….
