UMW Toyota Motor has confirmed prices for the 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis ahead of the car’s local launch, which could happen very soon.
The 1.8 E is priced at RM114k, the 2.0 G at RM123k and the 2.0 V (pictured) at RM136k. Prices are individual, OTR with insurance for Peninsular Malaysia.

VSC is standard on the 2.0 V, while ISOFIX is available across the board.
The confirmed prices are respectively RM1,000, RM2,000 and RM1,000 lower across the range than the earlier estimated prices. See specs, equipment and more details here.

AI-generated Summary ✨
Comments indicate that the 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis is priced high, especially for models without comprehensive safety features like VSC and higher airbags, which are only available as optional extras and add to the cost. Many critics believe UMW is charging excessive duties, leading to inflated prices and limited value, especially compared to competitors like Kia, Hyundai, Honda, and even Proton. There's significant disappointment over the lack of safety standardization across variants and concern that the pricing will harm Toyota's reputation and RV. Several commenters compare the Altis unfavorably to other cars in terms of safety, value-for-money, and features, with some suggesting waiting for Proton’s upcoming models or opting for cheaper, better-equipped alternatives. Overall, there’s a shared sentiment that the price and safety offerings do not match expectations for a modern sedan.
