Clarkson, Hammond and May confirmed for new show!

Shortly after it was announced that Chris Evans was to lead an all-new Top Gear line-up, former lead host, Jeremy Clarkson, did the same by confirming to the Sunday Times Driving that he, along with James May and Richard Hammond, will be back on screen with a new motoring programme.

Additional details, title and all, are expected to be revealed “within the next weeks” with the show slated to air after March 2016. As of now, it is still unclear as to which broadcaster has picked up the new show – Netflix, ITV and Channel 4 are listed as possible candidates.

Aside from that, fans of ‘Captain Slow’ will be delighted to hear that he will be hosting his own programme, titled ‘Building Cars Live’ – no worries on the frequency of May’s appearance on Top Gear as his own show will only consist of two 90-minute episodes, to be aired on BBC Two. Expected to air in the third quarter of this year, the show will be co-hosted by Kate Humble and Ant Anstead.

Said programme will focus on the MINI production plant in Oxford and the entire assembly process with May stating that he “can’t wait to build a car. Live.” All this looks set to add up to a good year ahead for fans of motoring programmes – a revamped Top Gear, May’s side project, the trio’s return plus the announcement of a live-action arena tour is sure to get us excited more than excited!

Topgear can go back reviewing superminis with chris evans ( a distinguished ferrari collector nonetheless )

while the love-em-or-hate-em (i love em btw) TRIO is back together for ‘House of Cars ( still yet to be determined)’ , as long as Andy Wilman is executive producer, expect to see the same level of production values and entertaiment…

its a realy pitty, the latest season of topgear was by far the best and funniest with new material and higher production costs ( i think) , expecially the mock up ambulance episode

      Yup, precisely.

Every other season, you’d see one or two episodes that were quite boring. Season 22 was probably the best ever.

I don’t agree with Clarkson for I love Porsches and hate Ferraris, but these 3 were just magical – probably the best Group Act ever.

Everybody’s favourite trio is back. But they need a catchier name than that.

  • Have been a big fan of TG UK and these blokes. However it’s not right to be a racist, especially on one of the most popular shows. The main reason, according to TG UK, is because Clarkson punched the producer on the show but if you watch the episode, when they were in Burma or Laos with their customized trucks (Lorries), listen to the comment Clarkson made, next to Hammond, when they built the bridge.
We enjoy Clarkson’s wit and his ability to be “direct” but his comment was uncalled for. Excited to see whether Chris Evans can carry on the TG UK torch and what the original 3 can come up with in their new endeavor.
