Aston Martin officially back in Malaysia with Wearnes

Aston Martin Malaysia return Wearnes 2

Fans of 007’s preferred four-wheeled express, rejoice! Aston Martin is back in Malaysia, appointing Wearnes as its official dealer nearly a year after parting ways with previous importer Jelita Seleksi Sdn Bhd. The news comes just three months since Wearnes was also made a distributor for the Aston Martin brand in Singapore.

The agreement sees Wearnes operating all sales and aftersales responsibilities in Malaysia, and will also be responsible for building the brand in the country, which Aston says is a key market in the South East Asian region, alongside Singapore.

“Aston Martin is an iconic marque of unrivalled heritage, and we are pleased to have Wearnes on board with us in Malaysia,” said Aston Martin Asia Pacific regional director Patrik Nilsson. “Both companies were established over a century ago, and Wearnes’ expertise in the luxury sector in South East Asia will play a key role in the brand’s development in Malaysia.”

“Wearnes is extremely honoured to have this opportunity to work with such an iconic British luxury brand in Malaysia,” said Wearnes regional managing director Gabor A Csurgai. “With over a hundred years of experience in the automotive industry, Wearnes is committed to unparalleled standards of excellence, and this announcement marks a new beginning for existing and potential Aston Martin customers in Malaysia.

“We see this very much as a long-term investment, and our aim is to strengthen the Aston Martin brand presence in this key market.”

The brand’s temporary showroom – which will commence operations before the end of the year – will be located at the former Volkswagen dealer at 204 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, and Wearnes hopes to open a permanent showroom somewhere in the Golden Triangle around April next year.
