At long last, the Aston Martin DB11 has been revealed, albeit unofficially. These leaked photos found their way onto the Internet ahead of the car’s debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and on first impressions, it’s quite a looker, right?
The replacement for the ageing DB9 features many design cues from Aston’s recent introductions like the DBX crossover, James Bond’s DB10, CC110 centenary special and the One-77. It is also said to be the first cars to be influenced by the company’s partnership with Mercedes-AMG.
The DB11’s front fascia is sharper than its predecessor, while maintaining the brand’s signature grille. Along the sides, there are more profound wheel arches and shoulder line, with the DB10’s wheels fitted. At the rear, the Vanquish-esque tail lights are paired to a more sloped fastback roofline.
Unfortunately, this batch of leaked photos doesn’t include any interior shots. However, spyshots of DB11 test mules reveal Mercedes’ influence in the car. This includes items like the steering wheel, fully-digital instrument cluster, climate controls and rotary controller for the COMAND infotainment system.
Underneath, the DB11 rides on a revised version of the VH aluminium architecture, which is used on the DB9, V8 Vantage, Rapide and Vanquish. The latter uses the fourth-generation version of the platform.
No points for guessing what lurks under the hood of the DB11. The British marque has already revealed a new 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12 will be deployed here. It is suggested that AMG’s 4.0 litre biturbo V8 will join the engine range in the future.
More details about the Aston Martin DB11 will be revealed in full when the car makes its official launch debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Like what you see so far?

again with the old VH platform, how much revision can they pull off, unless now it is 100kg lighter …
at least it is packing a new engine….
looks wise, as a successor to the evergreen DB9 , it is absolutely stunning, and kudos to the designer…
Syukurlah kereta Najib ni. Aku bangga PM aku pakai Aston!
Really tiny, minute, miniscule changes to the design, and we, men, go ga-ga over the looks.
Therefore, we cannot complain when women spend hundreds on make-ups, and hairdos, they feel they look staggeringly different than their original selves.
I would be likely the oddball here to say that I don’t like how the DB11 turned out.
I think the current crop of the DB9 and Virage is possibly as close to the design pinnacle of what Aston Martin can be.
This one looks that it is trading in its reserved and understated British demeanor (if one can call any Aston Martin “reserved”) for bling and brash.
If anything, it looks a little too American. Which would probably be fine, since they intend to sell a lot of these there.
The DB10 however, Now that one is a stunner.
