This just in. Proton has announced two recalls, one each for the Proton Inspira and the Proton Exora CPS.
The Inspira recall is related to a recall made by Mitsubishi Motors, which makes the Lancer that the Inspira is based on. It is for defective right turn indicator switches. All 20,330 units of the Inspira in Malaysia, made between 2010 and 2014 are included.
As for the Exora CPS, it’s being called in for a precautionary inspection of the fuel line in the powertrain compartment, Proton says. Around 90,000 units of the Exora CPS 1.6 are involved, made between 2009 and 2015.
Owners are advised to make an appointment with a Proton service centre for inspection. All labour and parts costs, if any, will be borne by Proton. For more info, call Proton’s customer care hotline at 1800-888-398 or email to [email protected].
