Ford Mustang GT tuned by Hennessey: 804 hp, 878 Nm

For its 25th anniversary, Hennessey Performance celebrates with an even more powerful iteration of its take on the latest Ford Mustang GT. Limited to 25 units, the firm’s latest HPE800 package – denoting a peak output figure of 804 hp – will be made available on both the coupe and convertible, and both manual and automatic transmission options as well.

Hennessey’s HPE800 package picks up where the preceding HPE700 and HPE750 packages left off, starting with the same 2.9 litre supercharger kit as before. On top of this, the tuner tacked on a carbon fibre high-flow intake system, new exhaust, uprated fuel pump and injectors, and HPE engine management tuning.

The resulting outputs from the uprated 5.0 litre Coyote V8 are 804 hp at 7,000 rpm and 848 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, with performance rated at 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.1 seconds, the standing quarter mile elapsed in 10.7 seconds at 213 km/h and a top speed of 333 km/h.

Exterior-wise, the HPE800 Mustang gains a front splitter, side sills, and rear lip spoiler all by CarbonAero, while rolling on 20-inch Hennessey H10 wheels measuring 10 inches wide in front and 11 inches wide at the rear. Tyres are Michelin Pilot Supersport items, measuring 265/30R20 in front and 295/30R20 at the rear.

A lowered ride height comes courtesy of a KW Variant 3 suspension kit, and helping to slow it all down is a 15-inch Brembo front brake kit upgrade. On the inside, the HPE800 receives premium floormats, embroidered headrests, Hennessey 25th Anniversary graphics, serial numbered plaque, and a certificate of authenticity. Hennessy provides a three-year, 36,000 mile (57,900 km) limited warranty.
