March 2017 fuel prices – diesel goes up by 5 sen

It’s the end of the shortest month of the year, which means that we’re entering a new month with new fuel prices. However, this time around, that’s only for diesel, which will go up by 5 sen come midnight. RON 95 and 97 petrol prices will remain unchanged from February.

So, for the month of March 2017, RON 95 will be priced at RM2.30 per litre, RON 97 at RM2.60 per litre, diesel at RM2.20 per litre (up 5 sen) and Euro 5 diesel at RM2.30 per litre (up 5 sen). The unregulated Petron RON 100 should continue at RM3.05 per litre.

This comes after retail fuel prices went up in two consecutive months. RON 95 ended 2016 at RM1.90 per litre and climbed 20 sen in January to RM2.10. February brought another 20 sen increase to RM2.30 per litre.

Another sign that the gomen is running short of money or all money hilang already. It has withdrawn the franchise given to Oratis to supply medicine to pensioners.

All pharmacies contracted to supply medicine to pensioners have been told to terminate this service. The pharmacies can’t even advise on the alternative, because they were not told. So that’s how pensioners are being treated by our caring government.

Hospitals have no money to even do blood test. Many are being sent away without medicines even. Schools and universities have no money at all now. Some universities got no money to even repair aircon. Lecture room got no aircon, got to use kipas.

Such a dumb move. Though Ron 95 does not go up, 5 sen diesel goes up means food and groceries, as well as school bus etc will still go up.

Already cost of living in Malaysia is so high, now go up 5 sen, lagi higher.

ACtually, dont blame the government. Is the people that make cost of living high. By signing your name and buying everything on loan and paying interest, is the main cost that makes money no value. Is the people’s on fault.

Jib recently said Malaysians made so much noise when petrol went up by 20 sen last month. He said Arabs, petrol went up 50% recently and yet, they don’t complain like Malaysians

Let me remind Jib one thing. Saudi Camry selling 80K SAR which is around RM90k. Here our Camry is RM180k. Double the price!

And even after they increased their petrol prices by 50%, their petrol price is now US24 cents per litre. (about RM1.10)

    What a big joke.

    • jib pandai playing figure games…20 cents up compared to 50% up? comparing orange to apple? fooling rakyat….that’s why he didn’t tell the press that SAR is rm1.10….the lousiest FM in Asia, he deserves that…lol

Our petrol is still very expensive considering we are an oil producing nation. At RM2.30 per litre, it is super high for the rakyat of Malaysia.

At current oil prices, we are overpaying the Government at least 80 sen per litre. Calculate that with 10 million road users…Gomen gets billions extra.

Yet they cut budget for schools and hospitals maximum. Today Oratis Closed down. Old pensioners now cannot get their medicines anymore.

Where is all the money going?

Remember the last time one PM raise it to rm2.70/litre.He quickly make a u turn cos all transport related industries threaten to up prices by 30%.
IN Mexico, look at the high unsubsidised petrol prices now.Mogok…each day.Petrol station operators run for their lives.Burnt and burnt.
U can up it toRm3/litre. By then ,your roti canai will cost rm2 per piece.Your bas sekolah tambang will skyrocket 40%.
Of course ,our gomen YABs dont give a damn. They are driven around in the non saleable Pondanas.
By not subsidising petrol, where has the money gone to? Has the savings been channeled to more productive causes?

Govt started implementing the floating price at the time the price was at its lowest. Cleverly playing the sentiment “no need for subsidy anymore”, rakyat succumbed slowly into thinking that it was the right thing to do. Years have gone by, and the price has gone up steadily, putting the rakyat at the mercy of this savage volatile price. It is not the price that nails it, it is the fact that the price will never ever be on the favour of rakyat anymore that kills it. So guys, lesson learnt, that anytime, anywhere, anyhow that you feel mistreated by the govt, remember to bring it up. It might fall on deaf ears, but at least we try to give them the true picture before they have it their way. The things we do at present may not make much sense, but trust me it will in years to come, for the next generation, our beloved children

I guess it’s best to reserve all the negative comments. Government have set the price according to the global market price since late 2014. There’s formula to calculate on that. If you guys are interested, do follow this guy at FB. He has shared the formula to calculate RON95 prices on monthly basis.

every time petrol up, the goods and transport also up. than food and drink up. after that everything up. is a chain reaction. and in Malaysia, anything goes up never come down even the petrol goes down.
