McLaren 720S joins Lego Speed Champions line-up

McLaren at Geneva Motor Show 2017

The McLaren 720S is the latest model to originate from the Woking-based carmaker, and now, it has been immortalised in Lego form by being the latest addition to the Speed Champions range.

The new Lego set, which joins the P1, features the 720S finished in Azores orange as well as a car designer minifigure. The latter is accompanied by a design studio desk, that comes with a coffee cup, original design sketch and 3D-printed “model car.”

“The Lego interpretation of the McLaren 720S reflects the most exciting part of the design process, when a two-dimensional sketch is transformed into a physical, three-dimensional model.

“Building a model like this gives the next generation of McLaren enthusiasts a taste of just how exhilarating that moment is for designers,” said Rob Melville, chief designer at McLaren Automotive.

Revealed at the recent Geneva Motor Show, the second-generation Super Series model is powered by a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 that outputs 720 PS and 770 Nm of torque. It’ll sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and hit a top speed of 341 km/h.

Its unique shape is dedicated to ensure maximum aerodynamic performance, and the 720S also employs the brand’s new carbon fibre tub and upper structure dubbed Monocage II. Its Proactive Chassis Control system also offers three selectable modes – Comfort, Sport and Track – along with a special “pseudo drift mode.”

How nice to have all your favorite cars in match-box size so that U don’t have 2 look for the best parking spot when U have arrived at your destination.

Simply press a ‘button’ & “Voila”, your car pops-up full size or fold-up down size. Just thinking out of the box Guys. What do U guys think !? He he he. Cheers.
