Audi R8 gets the Prior Design widebody treatment

A regular Audi R8 is a certainly a sight to behold, and most moviegoers will be able to recognise the two-seater as the preferred car of genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist Tony Stark. However, if you need to make your own R8 stand out even more, Prior Design’s new styling kit could be just what you need.

First things first, this is strictly an exercise in heightening the R8’s aesthetics, so the 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated V10 is left untouched. If you do need the extra grunt, ABT can offer its services, and if you relish in excess, there’s Underground Racing’s 2,200 hp tuning kit as well.

For Prior Design, the company’s offerings include more prominent fenders at all four corners as part of a widebody kit. Said to be aerodynamically optimised, the PD800WB package also comes with new side skirts, more aggressive-looking bumpers, as well as a sportier front bonnet and diffuser.

The components of the PD800WB package are constructed out of lightweight Fiberglass-Duraflex, much like many of the company’s other bodykits. There’s also a set of 20-inch alloy wheels to go along with the package, and should you need it, Prior Design also offer new exhaust systems, suspension kits and various modifications for the cabin.

Most importantly is – Will the Prior Design treatment Void the warranties of the R8. Just asking
