Audi R8 Coupe Audi Sport Edition – 200 units only

To introduce its new Audi Sport GmbH division (replacing the quattro GmbH), the carmaker has launched a special edition of the R8 Coupe called the Audi Sport Edition. Only 200 units will be offered, each bearing the colours of Audi Sport – silver, red and black.

Therefore, regardless of the exterior colour chosen, be it floret silver, mythos black, ibis white and etc., the car’s sideblades and side mirrors are finished in red. Meanwhile, the front spoiler, Singleframe grille and diffuser insert are finished in titanium black.

Finishing touches on the limited-number R8 are trapezoidal tailpipe trims in gloss black and 20-inch, 10-spoke Y design alloy wheels with rim flanges branded with the Audi Sport logo (245/30 front and 305/30 rear tyres).

Opt for the R8 V10 version and you’ll get a high-gloss red finish for the brake calipers while the R8 V10 plus’ ceramic brake discs are fitted with calipers in an anthracite-colored finish.

Inside, you’ll find illuminated door sill trims with the Audi Sport label as well as the inscription “1/200” to further highlight the model’s exclusiveness. Much like the exterior, the cabin also adopts a similar colour scheme, as seen on the Nappa leather-coated door trims and sport seats.

Further details seen here are the seat backrests with the R8 emblem embedded on them, contrast stitching, and gloss carbon inlays. A flat-bottomed, leather-covered steering wheel in a three-spoke design is standard on the special edition model.

Also standard is the 5.2 litre V10 engine, which outputs 540 hp and 540 Nm of torque in the R8 V10 version, and 610 hp and 560 Nm in the R8 V10 plus. A seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system handles power delivery to all four corners.

In Germany, you’ll have to cough up 181,900 euros (RM852,430) for the Audi R8 Sport Edition in V10 guise, while the V10 plus version commands a price tag of 205,800 euros (RM964,432).
