If adventure is what you seek, Land Rover is offering the public a chance to win a Land Rover Experience Tour to South America. Those who make the cut will get to drive the latest Discovery on a six-day off-road expedition through the Peruvian mountains, jungles and desert toward the ancient Inca city of Machu Pichu, 4,200 metres above sea level in the Andes Mountains.
As you can tell, this isn’t a glamping trip, as travellers will have to first pass through dense forests and difficult alpine tundra along the way. Nonetheless, it will make for an unforgettable off-road experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime.
Interested? Well, you’ll have to first sign up at Land Rover Malaysia’s official website to participate in a qualification event, which is set to take place at Car Park 2 at the Waterfront, Desa Parkcity, Kuala Lumpur on September 8-10, 2017 from 9am to 7pm. The Malaysian qualification event is one of several that are being held across the Asia Pacific region.
During the local qualification events, entrants will participate in a series of driving and non-driving challenges designed by Land Rover instructors. The participant with the highest score from each country will win a trip for two to the regional finals that will be held in Laos at the end of September.
At the regional finals (held over two rotations), finalists will compete in teams of two, and will embark on a three-day driving adventure that takes them across various landscapes and terrains. Along the way, they will have to complete several driving challenges and tasks that tests their vehicle handling, with speed and precision being rewarded.
The top two pairs from each rotation will win a spot on the Land Rover Experience Tour Peru 2017, which will be held from November 4 to 9. As mentioned earlier, participants will drive the new Discovery across a variety of terrains, while experiencing the majesty of the Peruvian landscape.
