It’s Wednesday again, and it’s one that will be all that sweeter for motorists because for the second week in a row fuel prices are going down after reaching record levels in November.
From tomorrow, December 14, RON 95 will cost four sen less at RM2.25 per litre (down from RM2.29 per litre last week), while RON 97 will be down five sen at RM2.52 per litre (down from RM2.57).
Meanwhile, the price of Euro 2 diesel will be one sen lower at RM2.20 (down from RM2.21), and Euro 5 diesel – always higher by 10 sen over Euro 2M – at RM2.30 per litre. These prices take effect from 12.01am until December 20, when the next round of fuel prices will be announced.
This is the 38th weekly fuel pricing update since the system’s implementation on March 30. Compared to March 2017 prices, which was the last month before weekly pricing came into effect, RON 95 is down by five sen (from RM2.30 per litre) and RON 97 by eight sen (from RM2.60 per litre), while Euro 2M diesel is back to level (RM2.20 per litre).

Bravo abang Kancil. Poor & sad citizens featured in Bersamamu TV3 so happy to see ur constructive komen..
Our menteri..cold sweat now.By now a dozen more PDAM members will close shop.TUTUP SELAMA LAMA NYA.
PLS HAVE A OPEN TENDER,let true businessmen with the acumen of Tan Sri Robert Kuok etc take over some of these petrol stations.
What we have now are a bunch of over protected operators who MUST MAKE PROFIT RAIN OR SHINE.
In business,there are wild fluctuations.
No such thing as everlasting perlindungan.
Only the fittest survive. The mediocre cry baby operators have no future.
Now,perhaps they arent thinking of playing golf and going for cun cun amoi urut.Only lobbying for fast intervention, hoping for a sure MAKE PROFIT formula from our menteri.
Just pathetic and shambolic, these bunch of businessmen.Grow up,bite the bullet at times, calmer skies will open up for the persevering and truly tested ones.
Happy for the fall in fuel prices, YES. Grateful for the fall in fuel prices, NO. The reason explained best by an example:’imagine a product worth RM80 being sold for RM100 and later given discount of 5% to be sold for RM95, HAPPY DEFINITELY YES, GRATEFUL NOT REALLY’. I nevertheless support reasonable high fuel prices because it discourages vehicles for cleaner air purposes while the extra income from oil/fuel should be used for cheaper health and education expenditure.
While I happily top up my fuel tank this week, I can’t help feeling sorry for the PDAM members who are experiencing huge losses when the price of petrol drops. They will whine to the Govt asking for help.
But then they also makes money when the prices go up and kept quiet.
But it is also a fact that Malaysia have one of the cheapest fuel prices in the world. Try google.
