KTM Komuter operation hours extended on Dec 31

Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) has announced that the operation time for its KTM Komuter service will be extended to 2 am on January 1, in conjunction with new year’s eve celebrations.

The rail operator said three stations (Bank Negara, Kuala Lumpur and KL Sentral) will have their operation hours extended, and an additional train service will be run for the convenience of those celebrating new year’s eve in the city. These will cover a number of routes to and fro from KL Sentral, to Batu Caves, Seremban, Port Klang and Rawang/Tanjung Malim.

According to the schedule, the last train from KL Sentral to Batu Caves will be at 1.30 am, to Seremban at 1.35 am, to Port Klang at 1.40 am and to Rawang/Tanjung Malim at 1.50 am. It added that the additional train service from Rawang to Tanjung Malim will not stop at the Serendah, Batang Kali, Rasa and Kuala Kubu Bharu stations.

Meanwhile, the last train to KL Sentral from Batu Caves will be at 10.55 pm, from Seremban at 10.06 pm, from Port Klang at 10.00 pm and from Rawang at 10.45 pm. KTM has advised those using its services to utilise Commuter Link or Touch ‘n Go cards to ensure a smooth journey.

The KTM Komuter service extension will join that of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), KL Monorail, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and RapidKL bus services, which will also be extended until 2 am on January 1.

KTM silently changed their first train schedule which only noticed today, when complain, they just tell you the announcement made back in 22-Dec. Totally crap planning and never think about the public nor their own customers, leaving students all stranded in LRT station and cannot get into KTM station (those linked station). What kind of integration is that?? Malaysia boleh!
