These are official images of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, first posted by Australia’s Drive. The pics have since been removed, but what goes online is sure to be captured and shared.
According to reports, the ultimate 911 will come with 20 extra horses, which takes things to 520 hp from the naturally aspirated 4.0 litre flat-six that revs till 9,000 rpm. That gives the RS a lead over the 500 hp from the regular GT3. No torque figures have been mentioned but the outgoing GT3 RS and today’s GT3 has 460 Nm. This green monster is expected to ship with a PDK auto gearbox – no manual.
The above has led to a slightly faster 0-100 km/h time, a tenth faster at 3.2 seconds. The 312 km/h top speed is 2 km/h higher than before.
Word is that Porsche has retuned the car’s rear-wheel steering system and tweaked the aerodynamics. The latter includes new NACA-styled ducts, a reshaped front bumper with airflow-improving ducts, and a reshaped rear bumper with larger air extraction ducts. The rear wing design is new, and the tail lamps appear to have been changed. It rides on 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels with fat 325-section rubber.
Porsche will offer an optional Clubsport package that throws in six-point seat belts, a fire extinguisher and an aluminum roll cage. Expect nylon loops on lightweight door panels, CF shell racing seats and the deletion of sound absorption material. All the above, and a new engine lid, shave off the grammes.

Hello Porsche, how dare U leave out the Manual ??! The last time I said I prefer PDK over manual bcos its easier, faster & more relaxing, many commentators here laugh at me calling me all sorts of names which I ignored. I wonder how many will blast me this time ??
PDK not as involving as manual transmission but allows driver to concentrate more on the driving itself.
Personally I prefer manual with rev-match ability.
Oh, U again Rightwinger. Which PDK model did U drive that is Not as involving as manual may I asked ??!
Wonder how they gonna do next F&F with flappy pedals? Its just not the same…
None, but one can deduce as much by trying out any of the double clutch tranny equiped cars like a Golf GTI.
Besides, no need to get your panties in a bunch- I didn’t say PDK is bad, it’s just different and efficient, hence the statement “allows driver to concentrate more on the driving itself.”
as above …
With Envy….
no manual ah….bosan…next
