BMW Group Malaysia gets new MD, CEO – Harald Hölzl

BMW Group Malaysia has announced the appointment of Harald Hölzl as its new managing director and CEO, effective March 1, 2018. Hölzl previously lead the BMW Group’s operations in the Czech Republic and was also head of marketing at BMW Group Central South Eastern Europe in 2011.

His career with BMW began in 2002, and he has served in various functions in departments ranging from sales, marketing, dealer development and IT.

Hölzl will take over from Han Sang Yun, who will assume the role of president of BMW Group Korea. Han was first appointed managing director and CEO at BMW Group Malaysia in January 2015, helping drive the company to its best-ever performance growth last year.

Han will replace Hyojoon Kim in BMW Group Korea, who will assume the roles and responsibilities of representative director and chairman for the premium carmaker in the country.

Sad when some people give comments like this. This show obsession. Quite typical in Malaysia…always looking for more…

For your information handsome people got nothing to do whether they can work or not.

    • Must be a great relief to the local BMW staff to say goodbye to the kimchi boss.

They are going back to a Euro boss. Life is going to be good again …until the sales numbers start to drop.

Now BMW Malaysia will no longer be using Korean tyres haha. Back to Bridgestone for run of the mill models and the usual Michelin for its M models.

  • Good riddance. Fix the cost-cutting stupidity that’s been infecting the 3- and 5-series lineups.
