From time to time, an obscure company will unveil a brand-new car that is comes with plenty of power and some truly mind-boggling performance figures. Here’s one, the Milan Red, which comes from Milan Automotive, an Austrian-based car manufacturer.
The vision of company CEO Markus Fux, the Milan Red is named after a famous bird of prey and was designed to mimic one, as that beak-like nose illustrates. Dimension-wise, the Red measures 4,741 mm long, 2,156 mm wide, 1,197 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. That unique shape is crafted out of carbon-fibre, which sits atop a carbon-fibre monocoque with plenty of carbon-fibre reinforced polymer structures.
Ignoring the name and styling, the main attraction of the Austrian hypercar is its performance, with a lot of it coming from the mid-mounted 6.2 litre quad-turbocharged V8 engine. Capable of delivering 1,325 PS (1,306 hp) at 7,000 rpm and 1,400 Nm of torque at 6,000 Nm, the petrol burner is attached to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends drive to the rear wheels.
Performance figures include a top speed exceeding 400 km/h, a 0-100 km/h time of 2.47 seconds, 0-200 km/h time of 5.46 seconds and 0-300 km/h time of 9.98 seconds. These numbers should be enough to worry the folks at Koenigsegg and Bugatti.
In line with the falconry theme going on here, the Red offers three selectable driving modes – Glide, Hunt and Attack – rather than the boring stuff like Comfort, Sport, or Race. These modes change not just the characteristics of the driveline, but also affect the car’s ride and handling.
Speaking of that, the Red’s front and rear suspension setup consists of CFRP double wishbones with a three spring-damper system and adjustable anti-roll bar. There’s also Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, which are covered by 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminium wheels.
Despite the quirky looks, there’s actual aerodynamic performance being delivered by the Milan-designed high downforce diffuser. Meanwhile, the front wing features an integrated splitter and brake cooling ducts, whereas the active rear wing doubles as an airbrake if needed.
“Nowadays you can drive an artistic car, a high-tech-monster, a throne on four wheels – or a car, that serves only one purpose: stealing everyone the show. And this is where we come into play,” says Fux. Sounds good, but you’ll need to hurry to secure one of yourself as only 99 cars will be made, and 18 have been sold already. The price? Close to two million euros (RM9,497,100).
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Many Proton fanboys will say their turbocharged Suprima is far better than this supercar
Nobody sez that except you dude.
Isn’t Vios ahbengs that think their godcars can cucuk any car including supercars on the road?
The designer really likes to eat ikan keli bakar.
ugly
they dropped the clay model and went hhmmmm……..
this looks like the world’s fastest vacuum cleaner….
Glide, hunt and attack? Falconry? It’s a car that does what any car does albeit much faster. It’s not going to mimic a falcon zooming around on terra firma. Imagination is really wild in this one. Fun boys’ stuff though.
How do I book one now? Someone just wrongly deposited 1 billion into my account. Maybe the $$$ is for Pakatan Fund!
Its time to spend it since the $$$ is there. I can buy a Chiron & this Milan Red with plenty of $$$ left. He he he. Cheers…
Milan Red looked like a product of Zenvo ST1, Corvette, Chiron and McLaren 720 who had an orgy party.
