The annual World Car Awards is back for the 15th consecutive instalment, and the list of contenders for the World Car of the Year 2019 has been revealed. A panel of 85 international jurors will be driving, evaluating and voting for/against every single model, and the World Car Awards Finals will be staged at the New York Auto Show in April 2019.
As usual, there will be one overall winner, as well as other winners in the Luxury, Performance, Green and Urban car categories, including a world car design of the year award. Without further ado, allow us to introduce to you the contenders.
The World Luxury Car of the Year category is comprised of the Audi A7, Audi Q8, BMW 8 Series, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Volkswagen Touareg. The World Performance Car of the Year however, consists of the Aston Martin Vantage, BMW M2 Competition, Hyundai Veloster N, Kia Ceed GT and McLaren 720S.
In the World Green Car category, there’s the Audi e-tron, BMW i8 Roadster, Honda Clarity PHEV, Honda Insight, Hyundai Nexo, Jaguar I-Pace, Kia Niro EV, Lexus ES hybrid, Lexus UX hybrid, Toyota Avalon hybrid and Toyota RAV4 hybrid.
Under the World Urban car category are the Audi A1, BMW X2, Kia Soul, Seat Arona and Suzuki Jimny. The rest of the contenders are those named in the table below. Which car do you think will win the coveted World Car of the Year 2019 award, and why? Let us know, below.

Both of upcoming Honda Clarity and upcoming Honda Insight have no shaped at all and Honda doesn’t have any idea about upcoming Honda models. Not only that, Both upcoming Honda Clarity and upcoming Honda Insight looks very dull, uninspiring and looks like donkey design, especially for the upcoming Honda Accord.
