2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 launched -105 hp, 180 kg

Here is Sweden’s new middleweight naked sports, the 2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801. The Vitpilen, or White Arrow, follows the Svartpilen (Black Arrow) 801, released earlier this year in March.

Despite the similarity in naming and styling, the Vitpilen and Svartpilen bear different personalities. The Svartpilen leans towards the scrambler ethos, while the Vitpilen is more a street-oriented naked sports.

Difference include the handlebars with the Svartpilen getting a taller bar, the headlight, radiator side panels, front mudguard and tyres fitted. Additionally, the Vitpilen gets a plastic panel underneath the engine while dry weight is listed as 180 kg.

Motive power comes from a two-cylinder mill displacing 799 cc with DOHC rated at 105 hp at 9,250 rpm and 87 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, matched to a six-speed gearbox. Equipped with a slipper clutch, the Husqvarna Easy Shift, a.k.a an up-and-down quickshifter, is available as an option.

There are four ride modes with three – Street, Sport and Rain – using preset parameters while the fourth Dynamic mode is user customisable using feedback from the throttle, traction control and other parameters. Cornering ABS and traction control is standard and switchable on the Vitpilen 801 while wheelie control requires the installation of the optional Dynamic Pack that also increases the adjustability of other parameters.

Front forks are from WP Suspension with 43 mm diameter upside-dwon units with 1`40 mm of travel while the rear WP monoshock gives 150 mm of travel. Brakes are by J Juan with twin 300 mm diameter discs on the 17-inch front wheel with twin four-piston callipers while the rear gets a single 240 mm disc and single-piston calliper.
