Kesas Highway users, here’s some good news. Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat has announced that a new, extra lane has been opened on the Shah Alam Expressway from KM33.65 to KM35, eastbound.
With that piece of info alone, one might not know where exactly they’re talking about, so I whipped out Google Maps and randomly chose a location along the Kesas that I frequent – Proton’s Centre of Excellence – and I got lucky.
Turns out that Proton’s address pins it at KM33.8 on the Kesas, and the cluster of three petrol stations before the big showroom (if you’re coming from Subang) is KM34.5.
So we can locate the new fourth lane as the stretch opposite Proton and the three petrol stations, from Kota Kemuning heading towards Subang. Regular users will know that this is a choke point – does the extra lane help? Share your feedback after experiencing it.

this 4th lane help me and road user a lot.. no need to worry about using EL anymore :-)
2nd lane from right are the most slow lane. Everybody wanted to be on that lane. Slow and steady driving on second most right lane. Lorry on their left drive faster than them.
What we need is proper underground metro lines to cover the entire klang valley and KL baru boleh solve congestion and reach develop nation status. Slow KTM and MRT is just for gaya and does not solve much
IF SLOW CAR STILL DIDNT RECOGNIZE WHICH LANE TO DRIVE, THE JAM GONNA BE THERE. WE NEED AWARENESS ON LANE HOGGING ISSUE. SAME AS PLUS HIGHWAY SEREMBAN. CHOKING STILL HAPPEN EVEN THERE’S 4 LANE. #JUSTMY2CENT
