The Peugeot Landtrek has been given an update which brings with it some mild styling tweaks as well as a new engine. According to the carmaker, this revision will strengthen the pick-up truck’s presence in international markets such as Africa, the Middle East and South America.
In terms of design changes, the Landtrek’s vertical front grille has been remodelled to feature a new mesh insert and the latest Peugeot emblem. This also sees the previous Peugeot script above the logo be replaced with the model’s name instead. As for the rear, there’s a new bumper with a satin-like finish for the trim, while the tailgate has the brand and model names spelt out.
Moving inside, you’ll find a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an updated infotainment system. The latter is still presented on a 10-inch touchscreen but it gets a new interface with widgets, and there’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
As for the new engine, the 2.2 litre Multijet inline-four turbodiesel serves up 200 PS (197 hp or 147 kW) and 450 Nm of torque. This is paired with a permanent four-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission, although customers can option a six-speed manual if they wish.
Models with this engine will come with four drive modes (Normal, Sport, Snow and Sand), along with an electric power steering and parking brake. Additionally, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot monitoring and rear brake discs come as standard.
The Landtrek was previously available with a 2.2 litre turbodiesel engine, but that unit only served up 180 PS (178 hp or 132 kW) and either 370 Nm with a six-speed manual, or 400 Nm when paired with a six-speed automatic – this powertrain has since been replaced with the newer one.
The pick-up truck’s other engines are carried over to meet the needs of different markets. These include a 1.9 litre inline-four turbodiesel with 150 PS (148 hp or 110 kW) and 350 Nm, which is paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic, available with either RWD or 4WD. There’s also a 2.4 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol unit making 210 PS (207 hp or 154 kW) and 320 Nm, also with two transmission options, but is RWD only.

Peugeot should mod this into a 3-row ladder frame SUV like the Fortuner or Everest. Decent engine with full-time AWD and disc brakes all around, sounds suitable as a part-time workhorse and full-time lifestyle vehicle
Never saw this on the road. No sales ke?
Bukan kete Peugeot pon.. Copy Copy Paste kah kah kah
Hi Bro! Long time no see! Ada tapi tak banyak. Mainly I see in PJ area.

The 1.9 is a Chinese based engine while the new 2.2 is a Fiat engine with more power and torque. Both are turbocharged diesels.
