SAIC Motor Malaysia recently held a pledge ceremony in partnership with the ministry of transport to reaffirm its commitment to advancing road safety across the ASEAN region, with a particular focus on Malaysia.
“This collaboration reflects the company’s dedication to not only improving regional road safety but also supporting Malaysia’s sustainable development goals and enhancing the wellbeing of its communities,” the company wrote in its release.
With this pledge, SAIC Motor Malaysia plans to contribute to initiatives such as ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries) and ensuring alignment with global safety standards.
“Safety is not just a priority – it is a shared responsibility. By working together, SAIC Motor Malaysia drives progress, enhances vehicle safety standards and strengthens Malaysia’s position as a leader in road safety and sustainable mobility,” said Emory QiFeng, managing director of SAIC Motor Malaysia.

For safety, the mindset needs to be correct… 30%-50% those on the road(cyclist, motorcyclist, car dirvers, lorry drivers, bus drivers) should not be on the road in the first place…
