New entry into the Malaysian scooter market is the 2025 SYM Husky 300, priced at RM23,888. Pricing excludes road tax, insurance and registration and a two-year or 20,000 km warranty is provided against manufacturing defects.
There are three colour options offered – White, Space Grey and Matte Black – with styling similar to the adventure scooter trend currently popular locally. Competition for the Husky 300 in Malaysia includes the Honda ADV350, priced at RM33,999.
The Husky 300 is powered by a SOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill displacing 278.3 cc. Power for the Husky 300 is rated at 25.48 hp at 8,000 rpm with a peak torque of 26.0 Nm at 6,000 rpm, going to the rear wheel via CVT gearbox and belt drive.
Fuel tank capacity is a large 16-litres while weight is listed at 138 kg. Tyre sizing is 15-inches in front with 120/70 tyre while the rear tyre is a 14-inch unit wearing 140/70 rubber.
Other specifications include traction control, two-channel ABS and smart key system. Full LED lighting is used throughout with the headlights being LED projector units.
Riding conveniences include USB-A and USB-C charging ports, a front storage pocket and underseat storage space. Other features on the Husky 300 are air intake garnishes, hand guards and a wide
handlebar.
