To meet the Hari Raya travel demand, Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) will provide four additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trains from March 28 to April 6 – KL-Sentral-Padang Besar-KL Sentral and KL Sentral-Butterworth-KL Sentral, two trips each, Bernama reports.
“This move is to meet the high demand since existing tickets for the ETS have been sold out,” KTM said in a statement today. The additional ETS trains will offer 1,260 seats daily, including business class, with 12,600 seats provided in total.
Tickets for these additional trains go on sale from 10am on March 4 – buy cashlessly via the KTM Mobile app (KITS), KTM website or any KTM Kiosk.
By the way, the government has acquired 10 new ETS train sets and they are expected to start operating in the first quarter this year – more details here.
