Leapmotor B10 in China – 31,688 bookings within 48 hours of pre-sales start; up to 600 km CLTC EV range

Pre-sales of the Leapmotor B10 began on March 10, 2025 in China, and within 48 hours, the Stellantis-backed Chinese brand managed to secure over 31,688 bookings for the electric SUV. CarNewsChina reports the B10 secured over 15,010 pre-orders within the first hour alone.

The B10, a C-segment SUV, made its debut at last year’s Paris Motor Show and slots in below the C10 which was launched in Malaysia last October. Pricing for the B10 ranges from 109,800 to 139,800 yuan (about RM67k to RM86k; pre-sale figures), and the company says the 510 LiDAR Self-Driving (loosely translated) emerged as the most popular variant, making up over 70% of total bookings.

Five variants are offered in China, with the base variant sporting a rear electric motor rated at 179 PS (177 hp or 132 kW) and 175 Nm of torque – 0-100 km/h in 9.3 seconds. This is paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with an energy capacity of 56.2 kWh, which is good for a range of 510 km following China’s generous CLTC standard.

All other variants get a more powerful electric motor with 218 PS (215 hp or 160 kW) and 240 Nm for a quicker century sprint time of 6.8 seconds. The uprated electric motor can be had with either a 56.2- (510 km range) or 67.1-kWh battery (600 km range), both using LFP chemistry.

It takes about 4.2 hours to charge the smaller battery from 30-80%, or 5.6 hours for the larger battery. With an 800V electrical architecture, the B10 supports DC fast charging that can get the battery from 30-80% in either 19 (56.2 kWh battery) or 20 minutes (67.1 kWh battery).

In terms of available equipment, the B10 can be had with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker sound system, a panoramic glass roof, single-zone climate control and 256-colour ambient lighting. Higher-end variants get a full ADAS suite with 26 functions, supported by an array of cameras, ultrasonic radars, millimetre wave radars and a roof-mounted lidar sensor.

Hi, why there’s no price indication or when will it launch here? I believe there’s a price mentioned in China webpage (This vehicle has a starting price tag of 109,800 yuan (15,120 USD). Moreover, the Leapmotor B10 became the first vehicle with a LiDAR sensor under the 120,000 yuan price tag.)

The C10 needs to gain traction here in sales before Stellantis has more confidence in the Leapmotor to introduce the B10. It is all in the numbers…
