Banking on its reputation for reliability, Honda Motor Europe is introducing a new six-year service-activated warranty (SAWA) programme. Effective April 2025, the warranty applies to all new motorcycles sold by Honda Motor Europe dealers, from the smallest scooter to the Honda Gold Wing GL1800 (RM212,800 in Malaysia) touring motorcycle.
To take advantage of the six-year comprehensive warranty, customers are simply required to follow the scheduled service and maintenance plan, using authorised Honda Dealers and service parts. In doing so, the original two-year warranty is automatically extended by a further twelve month period, up to a maximum of six years.
The warranty follows the motorcycle rather than the owner, meaning that should the motorcycle be sold on to a new owner, the warranty is transferable provided all conditions are met. The warranty is valid at over 800 dealers in 14 European countries as well as the uK.
