The road transport department (JPJ) has replaced 163 vehicle documents for Putra Heights gas pipeline fire victims for free, from April 3-6 at its Putra Heights Mosque mobile counter, Bernama reports.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said this included 114 Vehicle Ownership Certificates (VOC, or geran), 28 Competent Driving Licences (CDL), 17 Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM, or road tax) and four Goods Driving Licences (GDL).
“In addition to the replacement of the documents, JPJ also received 19 applications for CDL renewals and provided advisory services to 58 victims regarding vehicle insurance,” he said in a statement today, adding that those affected by the disaster do not need a police report to replace lost or damaged vehicle documents at the mobile counter.
