2025 Bentley Continental GT, GTC, Flying Spur debut – 680 PS/930 Nm 4.0L PHEVs slot below Speed models

Bentley has unveiled the latest additions to its model line-up with the debuts of the 2025 Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur models and their Azure derivatives, featuring the 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain which outputs 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque in combined outputs across the three new models.

These are what Bentley terms its High Performance Hybrid models, which slot in below its Ultra Performance Hybrid model line that is the range of Speed and Mulliner models including the Continental GT Speed, GTC Speed and Flying Spur Speed which extract 782 PS and 1,000 Nm in combined outputs from its 4.0L biturbo V8 petrol powertrains.

Bentley points out that the new trio outperforms the GT Speed models of the previous generation, where the Continental GT in particular is capable of the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.7 seconds (versus the GT Speed’s 3.2-second century sprint). The Flying Spur four-door does it in 3.9 seconds (versus the Flying Spur Speed’s 3.5-second run).

As the new models use a version of the Speed trio’s powertrain, these are capable of purely electric running of up to 85 km for the Continental GT (up from 81 km for the GT Speed), and 82 km for the Continental GTC. This comes courtesy of the same 25.9 kWh battery as in the Speed versions, as part of the 400-volt architecture. Charge ratings for the battery is not quoted, though the same battery in the Speed takes up to 11 kW AC, fully charged in under three hours.

Driveline and chassis technologies in the Bentley Active Chassis set for the core Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur models include Dynamic Ride, rear wheel steering and and electronically controlled LSD, with Comfort, Bentley and Sport modes selectable by the driver.

The core Continental GT and GTC wear Bentley’s signature matrix grille in gloss black with a chrome surround and centre bar, with the lower bumper grilles in matte black while the splitter is in gloss black. Exterior brightwork is chrome, while the rear diffuser is in gloss black. The headlamps are inspired by cut crystal and feature a bespoke welcome animation.

Azure versions of each model brings a more traditional styling to proceedings, and are identified by a front grille with bright chrome for the grille surround and its vertical vanes. Wheels are 22-inch Azure design bright-machined units in silver, while Azure badges adorn the front fenders.

Inside, the Continental GT and GTC get seat upholstery of a straight-fluted design, while interior trim brings the choice of bright chrome or optional dark chrome. The Azure versions get the Wellness seating specification with a diamond-quilted look and contrast stitching, open pore crown cut walnut trim with Touring, Comfort and Mood Lighting specification packages, and illuminated treadplates.

The Continental GT Azure gets a panoramic sunroof, while the GTC Azure gets a neck warmer for use in cooler climates. Of course as a Bentley, each of the three new models can be customised to a near-infinite combination of choices for paint colours, veneers, trim, interior upholstery and Mulliner options.
