Malaysian fuel prices April 2025 week 3 – RON97 down 10 sen to RM3.18/litre; diesel down 10 sen, RM2.88/litre

It is once again Wednesday, making it time once again for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia. The ministry of finance has announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of April 17 to 23, 2025.

The downward trend for a number of fuel types continues this week, as RON 97 drop in price by 10 sen per litre to RM3.18 per litre, down from RM3.28 per litre last week. As before, there is no change to the price of RON 95 petrol, which remains at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.

Also dropping in price is diesel fuel in Peninsular Malaysia, taking a 10 sen per litre drop to RM2.88 per litre for Euro 5 B10 and B20 grades, while Euro 5 B7 diesel fuel – which is priced at 20 sen more per litre – will go for RM3.08 per litre for the coming week. The retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, April 23, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 16th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 327th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
