Over 6k Thai vehicles entered Kelantan during Raya

A total of 6,172 vehicles entered Malaysia from Thailand through three main border checkpoints in Kelantan during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, from March 24 to April 8, and 5,506 exited during the same period, Bernama reports.

According to Kelantan road transport department (JPJ) director Mohd Misuari Abdullah, the Rantau Panjang checkpoint saw 2,771 vehicles enter and 2,149 exit, followed by Bukit Bunga (1,909 and 1,966) and Pengkalan Kubor (1,489 and 1,391).

“Throughout the festive season, the movement of Thai vehicles was smooth, with a very high level of compliance with regulations. No offences related to the International Circulation Permit (ICP) documents were detected during the period. Although JPJ’s primary focus is currently the Ops HRA (Hari Raya Aidilfitri) 2025, enforcement of foreign vehicle offences continues under Ops Tunggak, which generated RM76,950 in revenue from 277 summonses issued,” he said.

Mohd Misuari added that offences detected included not possessing the ICP, failure to display or present the ICP, incorrect display of the ICP, absence of a valid Competent Driving Licence (CDL) and various other technical violations.

While most dream of the future, Jonathan Tan dreams of the past, although he's never been there. Fantasises much too often about cruising down Treacher Road (Jalan Sultan Ismail) in a Triumph Stag that actually works, and hopes this stint here will snap him back to present reality.
