Jaecoo Malaysia has announced it is refreshing its brand image that will see it be known as Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia from now on. The move comes in conjunction with the company’s first anniversary and is in line with Chery’s global strategy that has seen several markets adopt the ‘Omoda | Jaecoo’ branding.
“This brand refresh signals our optimism for the market and the growth opportunities here. As a dynamic brand with a finger on the pulse of consumers’ preferences and needs, we are ready to elevate the way people experience the Omoda | Jaecoo brand. Together with our sleek and high-performing vehicles, we are passionate about delivering a personalised lifestyle experience as Malaysia’s challenger premium off-road SUV brand,” said vice president Emily Lek.
Last year, over 12,000 Jaecoo vehicles were registered and the brand’s network grew to 45 dealerships nationwide. The company also brought the Super Hybrid System (SHS) to Malaysia with the launch of the J7 PHEV in February this year.
The announcement was made during the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025), with the company also providing a sneak peek at the Omoda C7, a C-segment crossver that could go on sale here.
