Malaysian fuel prices May 2025 week 4 – RON97 up 3 sen to RM3.10/litre; diesel up 3 sen to RM2.80/litre

It’s Wednesday, and so it’s time once again for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, with the ministry of finance having announced retail prices of fuel for the coming week of May 22 to 28, 2025.

After dropping three sen last week, the price of RON 97 petrol is up again by three sen, bringing the price of the premium fuel back to RM3.10 per litre. There is of course no change in the price of RON 95 petrol, with the fuel remaining at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.

As for diesel fuel users, the Euro 5 B10 and B20 grades also see a three sen per litre increase to RM2.80 per litre. This means that Euro 5 B7 grade – which is priced at 20 sen more per litre – has been adjusted to RM3.00 per litre. Meanwhile, the retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, May 28, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 21st edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 332nd in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
