As announced previously, UMW Toyota Motor and Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia are the title sponsors of the Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs Super GT event, and in addition to the headlining GT500 and GT300 Super GT racing categories, the GR86 Cup Malaysia and the Vios Challenge one-make series will be held at the race weekend at Sepang.
The latter will be part of the second round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival 2025 in Malaysia, which will also feature showcases of race cars and vehicle previews, fan interaction zones, driving simulators, appearances by Toyota Gazoo Racing and brand ambassadors, along with prize giveaways and merchandise for sale.
The aforementioned GR86 Cup Malaysia organised by Haro is officially supported by Toyota, as well as Bridgestone as the official tyre supplier of the one-make racing series. The GR86 Cup Malaysia race will be the first to feature in Malaysia, and it will be a 10-lap race.
To be held from June 26 to 28 this year, the Malaysian round of the Autobacs Super GT 2025 marks the return of the series to Malaysia after an absence of 12 years, after the Sepang International Circuit hosted the Japanese racing series from 2000 to 2013.
