The Grand Tour to get new line-up of younger hosts following departure of Clarkson, Hammond and May

The original hosts of The Grand Tour called it a day after the airing of ‘One for the Road’ on September 13, 2024. While many assumed that the show ended with that episode, it appears Prime Video has confirmed new hosts to fill in the shoes of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

According to The Sun, the new trio tasked with rebooting the show includes new presenters who are popular in the world of YouTube and social media. They include Thomas Holland (Canadian) and James Engelsman (British) from Throttle House, a YouTube page with over 3.26 million subscribers.

Joining them will be another Brit, Francis Bourgeois (real name Luke Nicolson), who is best known for his viral trainspotting videos on TikTok and Instagram, where he has interviewed celebrities including Louis Theroux and Tom Daley.

“Thomas and James are as knowledgeable about motors as Jeremy, Richard and James — the only difference is they’re younger, cooler and a lot more social media savvy. Francis became famous for his love of trainspotting and will be bringing his humour to the show,” a source told the tabloid.

In addition to hosts that will bring a younger, fresher vibe to the show, it was also reported that The Grand Tour will adopt a new format. Not much is known about this for now, but it is said that Studio Lambert will be the production company for the reboot – the company has worked on reality shows like The Traitors, Gogglebox and Squid Game: The Challenge.
