Another Wednesday, which means that it’s time once again time for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, with the finance ministry having announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of July 3 to 9, 2025.
The hike in the price of RON 97 over the past two weeks has come to a halt, and the good news for users is that the price of the fuel has now dropped to RM3.18 per litre for the coming week, a reduction of three sen from the RM3.21 per litre it was at last week.
There is of course no change to the price of RON 95 petrol, which continues on at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.
Prices of diesel follow suit, with Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends dropping three sent to RM2.85 per litre. As such, the price of Euro 5 B7 diesel, which costs 20 sen more per litre, adjusts to RM3.05 per litre. Meanwhile, the retail price of diesel fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, July 9, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 27th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 338th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
