2025 WMoto Bobbie V11 sidecar combination official Malaysian launch, JPJ road legal, RM48,888

First previewed in Malaysia in 2023, the 2025 WMoto Bobbie VII sidecar combination gets its official Malaysian launch, priced at RM48,888, with a further RM2,000 discount offered for a limited time. The Bobbie VII sidecar combination is road legal in Malaysia with sidecar placed on the left, along with JPJ VTA certification and only a full ‘B’ motorcycle licence is required.

However, toll will have to be paid entering the Malaysian toll highway system, and the Bobbie VII is not allowed in the motorcycle lane. Currently, only one colour option is offered, Ground Sand Ash, and pricing does not include road tax, insurance and registration.

Originating from the Chang Jiang works in China, the Bobbie VII sidecar combination, like its motorcycle stablemate the Bobbie VII, is powered by a two-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine displacing 693 cc. Power is rated at 74 hp at 8,500 rpm, with 68 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The rear wheel is driven by a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive. Overall weight for the Bobbie VII sidecar is listed at 330 kg (making us wish it came with a reverse gear. At least it won’t fall over in the parking lot.)

Wheel sizing for the Bobbie VII sidecar is identical all around, 17-inch spoked wheels fitted with 120/80 tyres while a spare wheel is included. All the wheels are also stopped by single disc brakes, with the front wheel getting a bigger diameter disc with three-piston calliper.

In the sidecar, aside from carrying a passenger, there is also a small boot space. The sidecar also comes with head and tail lights, a small windshield and a side step to aid entry and exit.

Other conveniences include a digital instrument panel, USB charging socket and LED lighting throughout. Fuel is carried in a 15-litre tank.
