Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia will be offering Kota Bharu residents the chance to sample the Mitsubishi Triton in a series of exciting off-road styled exercises this July 25-26 to experience the outstanding performance of the award-winning pick-up.
The “Live the Drive” experiential event, which will be held at the outdoor carpark of Aeon, Kota Bharu from 10 am to 10 pm on both the above dates, will allow drivers to get behind the wheel of the Triton and take it through a specially-designed course that simulates off-road terrain.
Event-goers will participate in various challenges that will showcase the Triton’s abilities. The course exercises will include uneven rocky terrain.
Simulating construction sites or plantations, this course proves how Super Select 4WD-II and 7-drive modes combine for optimum grip and control across any surface. Participants will also be able to experience the pick-up’s superior seat comfort, which provides a smoother ride compared to most competitors.
They’ll also be able to experience one of the most challenging off-road tests via the elephant steps, which will push the Triton’s 4LLC low-range gearing to the limit by delivering power to all four wheels even when one tyre lifts off the ground.
Another exercise is the side ramp , and obstacle that showcases the new frame chassis by testing its rigidity and stability, even with the vehicle at a 45-degree tilt. Meanwhile, the water wading challenge , designed to replicate flash flood scenarios, will see the Triton wade across up to 700 mm of water with ease.
There’s also the u-turn obstacle course , which demonstrates the Triton’s full-time 4WD mode (4H) that can be driven on paved roads and makes u-turns as smooth as a SUV. Participants will also be able to put their skills to the test with the water bucket test drive challenge, where they must navigate the track while keeping a full bucket of water steady.
Attractive prizes await the smoothest drivers, including a Naturehike camping wagon worth RM500, a Naturehike 50L foldable box worth RM400 and a portable fan worth RM200.
All participants who test drive a Mitsubishi vehicle during the event will receive a complimentary foldable bucket bag. Additionally, those who make a booking for any Mitsubishi car will take home a Naturehike cooler box, perfect for outdoor adventures and weekend getaways!
