BYD signs as Inter Milan’s global automotive partner

BYD has announced it has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with FC Internazionale Milano (known simply as Inter Milan) to become the club’s global automotive partner.

“In China, where BYD is headquartered, the Nerazzurri are also one of the most beloved teams, with over 154 million fans. In South America – a key market for BYD Group – Inter can count on almost 90 million fans, thanks to the many South American champions who have shaped the club’s history,” the Chinese automaker said in its official release.

With this agreement, BYD and its premium brand Denza will work closely with Inter to maximise the value of the partnership, reinforce the positioning of both parties and pursue shared goals for mutual growth.

Additionally, BYD will provide around 70 vehicles to equip the top management, technical staff, and first-team players of Inter. These will include a special edition of the Sealion 7 customised with the colours of the Nerazzurri, which will be made available to Inter fans later on. Dedicated purchase and rental programmes for BYD vehicles are also being finalised for Inter fans around the world.

The company also pointed out it has sold over 4.2 million new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2024, which is a 41% increase compared to the previous year. In the first half of this year, it has delivered over two million NEVs that represent a double-digit growth from the same period in 2024.

Inter Milan is well recognised for its energy, for never giving up, for always fighting for success and for its rapid growth into a global brand with a worldwide fanbase that extends beyond the San Siro stadium and Serie A,” said Stella Li, executive vice president of BYD.
